THE WINEHOUSE

In the countryside and in the small villages once,was an usual habit of the popular fantasy to give nicknames to point out a family, especially where most people had the same last names. MILEJA ,from many generations, identifies our family and our tradition from long times linked to the wine world.

The MONTOBBIO Winery, lead by the twins ARMANDO and AURELIO both oenologists, is located in the heart of the high Monferrrato, in Castelletto d'Orba, historical and pictoresque small village of high quality wine production, in the southern part of Piedmont, in the province of Alessandria.

Castelletto d'Orba is a nice small village with a smooth climate and a fertile and extremely well drained ground that can afford an excellent grapevine growing and consequently a high-quality wines productions. Montobbio's wines won very important oenological awards and they are sold and well appreciated also in Europe and in the U.S.A.

The production gathers GAVI D.O.C.G.,DOLCETTO D'OVADA D.O.C.,BARBERA MONFERRATO D.O.C. live "MILEJA", BARBERA MONFERRATO D.O.C. refined in barrique barrels, "LE LAMPARE" white sparkling wine obtained by a natural working. Besides very different but meaningful D.O.C. wines worked with KASHER method for the Jewish communities.
