Production area: vineyard located in the Municipality of Castelletto D’Orba (AL)

Exposure: east, south

Variety: 100% Dolcetto

Soil: calcareous, tuffaceous with sandy stripes

Harvesting and making: manual harvesting generally carried out within the first half of September; fermentation at controlled temperature with skin maceration for 10 days, and daily remontages

Colour: ruby-red

Scent: persistent, fruity

Flavour: dry, intense, vinous, with light almond-like hints

Serving temperature: 16°C

Food pairing: great for everyday meals (light vegetables or white meat based, starters, pasta, white and red meat with light sauces, griddlecakes, savory omelettes)

DOLCETTO D'OVADA DOC "SELEZIONE"


Production area: single vineyard located in the Municipality of Castelletto D’Orba (AL)

Exposure: south

Variety: 100% Dolcetto

Soil: tuffaceous and calcareous

Harvesting and making: after a strong grapes selection manual harvesting generally carried out within the first half of September; fermentation at controlled temperature with skin maceration for 13/15 days and daily remontages

Colour: deep ruby-red

Scent: intense, persistent, fruity

Flavour: dry, intense, smooth, with red fruit tones, good bodied with a light pleasant almond-like bitter aftertaste

Serving temperature: 18°C

Food pairing: thanks to its balance and freshness pairs greatly with flavoured starters, all kind of pasta, first, courses, white and red meat or venison with medium worked dressing

We suggest to open the bottle or pouring in the decanter 15 minutes earlier than serving, to oxigenate the wine properly

BARBERA DEL MONFERRATO DOC


Production area: vineyards located in the Municipality of Rocca Grimalda (AL)

Exposure: south, south-east

Variety: 100% Barbera

Soil: tuffaceous and calcareous

Harvesting and making: Manual harvest by more than 40 years vineyard, generally performed in the second half of September; traditional fermentation with maceration at a controlled temperature for a period of approximatively 16/18 days

Colour: deep ruby-red tending to garnet in ageing

Scent: persistent, intense, ripe red fruit hints

Flavour: dry, intense, bodied, with pleasant spicy notes, sapid and well balanced

Serving temperature: 20°C

Food pairing: full-bodied and balanced wine in its acid component, perfectly with boiled and braised meat, stuffed pasta, roast-beefs, venison or seasoned bodied, goat cheese with honey and cooked-must jellies

We suggest to open the bottle 20 min in advance to have a proper and safe oxygen action

Part of this wine production is aged in oak small barrel (barrique) for 5 months; the full wine structure enables this soft treatment showcasing further smoothness tied to the natural wine longevity

"MILEJA" VIVACE


Production area: vineyards located in the Municipality of Castelletto D’Orba (AL)

Variety: 65% Barbera / 35% Freisa

Soil: flinty and calcarous

Making: after manual harvesting the making is the traditional red wine fermentation with controlled temperature and light skin maceration

Colour: ruby-red

Scent: persistent, light red fruit hints, cahracteristic

Flavour: light bodied, tasty, vinous, fresh

Serving temperature: 16°C, even 12°C in summer

Food pairing: very good for a round meal because of its light sparkling and fresh notes

MILEJA nicknames Montobbio's family that has always been involved into vine growing and wine making over generations; once all families had nicknames in small villages that could refer to their jobs, to their old legacies or simply because my of them had the same last names
